The EXPANDI® reels are devices used to stow and deploy any equipment that can be rolled onto the drum, such as oil containment booms, hoses, ropes, fish nets, etc.

The reel itself and the framework are welded constructions with sea water resistant protection such as hot dip galvanised or marine grade paint coatings.

The reel is driven by an electric or hydraulic motor.

As an option, the reels can be fitted with Free Wheeling System for a controlled deployment of the boom without connecting the reel to a power pack in emergency situations.
