This EXPANDI® product is a rapid deployment inflatable oil boom. The boom is robust, with individual floatation chambers and is inflated continuously from the towing equipment connected to the first boom section.

Each section comprises four individual air chambers and each chamber is connected to the common rail air filling system through a check valve. Each chamber has in addition a high capacity valve mounted for deflation when recovering the boom.

In unlikely event that the single point inflation system fails, this air valve offers a back up inflation solution similar to that of ordinary air-inflated oil booms.

The boom is available in a wide range of sizes for its use in sheltered waters or open sea.
